This Year, Meta Will Bring AI to Whatsapp, Instagram, and Messenger

Facebook co-founder and Meta Platforms chairman Mack Zuckerberg recently announced on social media that the business would be forming a new, high-level product group to focus on generative AI. According to Meta’s remark, the company’s long-term goal is to create “AI personalities” that can help people in a variety of ways.

According to the announcement, AI could be integrated into the company’s current product portfolio, including WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. Mark is reported as saying, “We are researching text experiences (such as chat in WhatsApp and Messenger), image experiences (such as unique Instagram filters and ad formats), and video and multimodal experiences.”

Moreover, according to a Bloomberg article, the AI team at Meta will be overseen by machine learning and artificial intelligence executive Ahmad Al-Dahle. He reports directly to Meta Chief Product Officer Chris Cox, which the article identifies as a key indicator that the firm aims to better incorporate artificial intelligence into its vast array of online products and services.

Nonetheless, Meta reaffirms that the company is still in the AI development phase, stating that it has a great deal of foundational work to complete before it can create futuristic experiences. Mark Zuckerberg concludes the announcement by expressing his enthusiasm for all the new features Meta will develop in the future.
